Brain-Computer Interface (2011-2013)

Position

2 years research master of electrical and electronics engineering in Ubiquitous Robot and Intelligent Information System laboratory at Chung-Ang university, Seoul, South Korea.

Role and achievements

Developing algorithm for extracting mental information pattern related to real and imagination of kinetic movement of human subjects using pattern recognition algorithms. This research is considered as a challenge task as a result of weak signal to noise of electroencephalography (EEG) signal and large data analysis related to bio-signal.

  • Developing computer algorithm for improving EEG signal and extracting pattern for mental states especially related to motor imagery.
  • Publish research results to various conferences and journals.
  • Present research results to the submitted conferences.
  • Improve programming skill especially using MATLAB IDE and language.

Despise of developing computation algorithm, I managed the experiment for extracting EEG signal from chosen subjects.

  • Create experiment paradigm and stimuli for experiment using STIM 2 of Neuro Scan logistic.
  • Create experiment plan and schedule.
  • Supervise the EEG recording experiment.
  • Collect and analysis recorded EEG signal.
  • Work closely to logistic and hardware of Neuro Scan system
